Hunting Easter eggs

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. Here are some pictures from last weekend. We went home for a week, and had a nice time with friends and family. Ava had so much fun at our Easter dinner. This was the first time she really warmed up to everyone.
And I must not forget Sammy the dog. Ava is terrified of dogs. She loves them from far away and in pictures, but she does not like them up close. Sammy was no exception. I'm not sure what changed her mind about him, but as soon as we walked in the door to Doug and Dondria's house, all she wanted to do was play with Sammy. She pretty much chased him the whole time we were there. It was fun to watch.

So I took this picture so you could see where all the kids were hunting eggs, but you might say, "where's Ava?" I turned 180 degrees, and there is Ava chasing Sammy, yelling "stop Sammy, stop." She had enough with the egg hunt, and was on to better things.

Grandma Great and Ava

This was the first time Ava went to Grandma Great without someone making her. I guess she's a little intimidated of Grandma. She went right to her and had to show her sparkle shoes off. She had a pair of white shoes for church, but when we got home she saw the pink ones sticking out of her bag, so she had to wear them.

It's like going from one extreme to the other in a matter of a few seconds. This was Easter morning. This is what Ava's hair usually looks like in the morning. It is very lovely, I know!

Decorating our Easter cookies

We decorated our Easter cookies today. I know it's St. Patrick's Day, but we skipped right over that and went on to Easter cookies! I gave Ava a bottle of red sugar left over from Valentine's to decorate with. It was almost empty anyway, but she definitely emptied it, as you can see!!

Ava is not into looking at me when I take her picture anymore. She saw that I had the camera and wouldn't look at me for anything!

Yum, yum! Or as Ava would say Num, num!

We have been spending a lot of time outside this week with the weather being so nice. We went to the park on Tuesday with our friends, Stacy and Kate. We weren't there 10 minutes and Ava fell and bloodied her lip and skinned her nose all up(as you can see). She had a fat lip but it was better by that evening. I couldn't even get her cleaned up, she took off running to go play. Guess it didn't hurt that bad! It was a funny site though. She looked like a little vampire running around with blood all around her mouth. I was running after her to clean the blood up. Very nice!!

I love the last picture. She's trying to get the whole sucker in her mouth!

Shoes!!

I put my spring shoes in my closet last night, and Ava found them this morning. She still loves my flip flops! She was having a hay day putting them all on this morning.
She is feeling so much better. Her nose is still a little runny, but not bad.

Not a baby anymore

Ava doesn't look much like a baby anymore. I really saw it when I took these pictures. She looks like a cute little girl. I love the pigtails! She's finally letting me do some different things with her hair, not that she has much hair to do anything with!
