We took the girls to see Santa one day. Ava loved Santa and it was very exciting because Katie got to meet the real Santa from North Pole!! Aunt Lori bought Ava her first Christmas dress. She looked so cute in it! We have lots more pictures, but I can't put them on the blog because they are going to be our Christmas cards.

Ava's First Thanksgiving

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We had a great one. It was so nice to have family here. The weather was very cold the whole time they were here, so we didn't get to do as much as we would have liked. Of course the weather has warmed up this week--go figure!!
Ava got a cold Saturday night, so she has been pretty cranky this week. She does seem to be feeling better today, so hopefully it won't be the kind of cold that lasts for 2 weeks.
That's about all we know up here. We'll be home for Christmas in a few weeks. We can't wait to see everyone!

6 months old

Ava had her 6 month check up this week. It is hard to believe she is 6 months old! She weighed 14 1/2 pounds and is 25 3/4 inches long. She has gained 2 pounds since her 4 month check up and has grown 2 1/2 inches!
Not a whole lot has been going on up here. We are getting very excited for this weekend. Grandma Julie, Aunt Lori, and Katie are coming to see us for Thanksgiving. They will be here Saturday night. We can't wait!!
The weather has been very cold the last couple days. We have had wind chills 50 below. But, it looks like it should warm up to -15 when Grandma, Lori, and Katie are here.
