Still Winter in Alaska

I haven't posted in a while. Still not a lot happening. Most importantly Tara is still doing just fine. She didn't feel real well the week I went to Ft. Campbell, of all times, but she got better and is doing great. We went to the Doc and got to take a look at another ultrasound/sonogram, and of course the little turd wasn't cooperating again. We are still sticking with that it is a girl. Other than that things are still a little slow at work, but are picking up slowly. We finally, finally got our Chinooks back after much hastle. I am actually going to go on a flight on Monday the 24th. Around mid April I believe, as of now, I am going to get the chance to go to Talkeetna, AK, where our unit does HART(High Altitude Rescue Team) training. We do the training on Mt. McKinley which is the highest peak in North America at 20,320 ft. It is a pretty big deal to be able to be on the HART team. Not very many people have the opportunity to do this type of training in the helicopter world. It is demanding so I will have my work cut out for me. I'm excited to go. The weather is still pretty winter like up here. We got quite a bit of snow fall a few weeks ago, temps were cold the week before. It looks as though it will start to warm up now. Hopefully!! Tara and myself did get to go to the National Ice Art Championships here in Fairbanks. I guess it is a pretty big deal. The ice sculptures are really unbelievable though.
